Family adventure to Washington - Whidbey Island

Our family took a summer getaway to Whidbey Island to visit my aunt and uncle. They have recently moved out to Whidbey from the Seattle area and wanted to share their new passion with us. We took the scenic drive from the Boise area and arrived early evening at the Mukilteo Terminal just off the Island coast on the north side of Seattle. The Island is much larger than I expected but still offered the small town feel I hoped for. There are farmers markets, plenty of shops, and eateries, there's even a theatre. The views are stunning and I dont think there's a bad piece of property on the island. We visited Oak Harbor, Langley and Deception Pass, but spent the majority of our time near Beverly Beach.

Here we are on the ferry over to the island (sunny day with a gentle breeze)

Here are some shots of the various places we visited.
